上面引用的传真首页上方的信头，并不是所有传真都要沿用的格式，但这些内容给收发双方带来更多的方便。传真信头用缩略语：
Ref.(reference) —信涵参考编号，一般编号往往包括有关人员的姓名的首字母。
Our Ref.: —我方编号，即发信人编号。
Your Ref.： —贵方编号，即收信人编号。
Atten.： —收件人
CC： —抄送（其他收件人）
传真正文中出现了“be+动词不定式”结构。这种结构用来表示一种按照计划或安排即将发生的动作或行为。例如：
Our shares are to be issued next month . —我们的股票将于下个月发行。
Our company is to be granted a World Bank credit soon. –- 我们公司即将获得一笔世界银行贷款。
这种结构还用来表示：
1） 可能发生的行为。例如：
The credit is to be granted when we have enough money。—我们有了一定资金后即可获得贷款。
2） 注定要发生的行为。例如：
All supplies are to written in our records。 —所有供货我们都有记录在案。
这种结构除了用被动语态外，也可以用主动语态。例如：
The Board are to meet tomorrow。—董事会将于明天开会。
当并列句用这种结构时，并列连词及动词“be”均可省略。例如：
We are a company in the course of privatization，our shares to be issued next month。
我方为一家正在向私有化转制的公司，我方股票将于下个月发行。
上述例句加上并列连词和动词“be”后是这样的：
We are a company in the course of privatization and our shares are to be issued next month。
We want to discuss the terms of the contract ，our company to be granted a World Bank credit soon。
我们想讨论一下合同条款，因我们公司将很快得到一笔世界银行贷款。
上句如果补充完整应是这样的：
We want to discuss the terms of the contract as our company is to be granted a World Bank credit soon.
