Different Approaches to The Reading Section
　　 As a test taker, you’ve got to find what works best for you. This might be a simple strategy like just reading the text and then trying to answer the questions one by one in chronological order. It might be more complicated. Perhaps, you skip the reading and just answer the questions while trying to minimize the amount of reading you have to do. Maybe, your strategy blends other strategies together. For example, you read in the text to the question and then answer it before moving on to the next question by reading in the text until you find it. A common question that TOEFL test takers ask is whether or not they should skip around by question type. This is the method that many people learned during the days of the PBT (paper based test). It depends on how comfortable you are with using a computer and this particular program. I suggest simply using your notes to keep track of which numbers you’ve skipped. Not only that, I also think it’s important to keep track of which questions you’ve guessed on. This is crucial for those extra minutes you might have at the end of the section.
