这一讲您将学到：quit + V+ing句型, bump into, fill…with…, it形式主语　　上次我们学会了杀价（bargain），不知道有没有帮上你的忙，提你节省一点money.这次，我们还要继续逛，不过去的是street market，像这样的地方东西本来就很便宜，所以就别讲价了，让做小买卖的人也赚点钱吧！
　　这次和我们同行的是一对兄妹俩（They are brother and sister），拿着妈妈给他们开的购物单（shopping list），办年货去喽！
　　（Harry is the brother and Mimi is the sister.）
　　Harry and Mimi are at a street market for an hour.
　　Harry: Could we go to a nice warm supermarket? I'm freezing!
　　Mimi: Quit（停止）complaining（抱怨） and try to enjoy yourself.
　　It's holiday time.
　　Harry: It looks like the whole world has come here. People keep bumping（撞） into me!
　　Mimi: All part of the fun. Hey, look at that fish! It's fresh,
　　isn't it?
　　Harry: Maybe, but I don't like the way it's hanging（挂）.
　　Mimi: Then go over there and fill a bag with those New Year candies（糖果）.

　　「读书笔记」
　　1、street market是指在街道两旁搭建摊位的简易的露天市场，俗称“菜市场”。现在人们大多喜欢去supermarket/shopping mall（超级市场）购物。
　　2、Harry在street market被冻得够呛，他说：I'm freezing. freeze是冷冻的意思， freezing可以理解为冷的都要冻冰了，冷极了，是不是很形象呢。
　　3、quit + Ving是美语用法，意思是停止……妹妹正逛得兴致勃勃，当然讨厌哥哥抱怨（complain）个没完，于是对他说，大过年的，你应该让自己高兴一点！（呵呵，这就是所谓“站着说话不腰疼”吧。）
　　4、It looks like the whole world has come here. 看起来全世界（的人）都到这儿来了。（显然Harry还要继续抱怨，人太多了。）
　　5、People keep bumping into me! 人们一直撞我。Keep + Ving表示动作不断重复，并且一直持续。My little sister kept asking me questions. 我的小妹妹总是问我问题。
　　6、Bump是不及物动词，后面必须有介词才可以接宾语，通常和 into, against搭配，表示“碰、撞”的意思。比如：The bus bumped into the car in front. 巴士撞上了前面的汽车。物体之间可以相撞，人和人相撞你见过吗？I bumped into my sweetheart at a night market. 我和我的恋人是在夜市上邂逅的。在这里，bump into就表示“撞见、巧遇”的意思。
　　7、All part of the fun. 这是节日乐趣的一部分。
　　8、Maybe, but I don't like the way it's hanging. 哥哥对妹妹采取不合作的态度说：也许吧，但我不喜欢它挂在那里的样子。Way指方式，the way it's hanging 它挂着的方式。
　　9、妹妹听出了哥哥的不满情绪，Then go over there and fill a bag with those New Year candies. 那你去那边买一兜子新年糖果回来吧。fill …with…是装满、填满的意思，He filled my glass with beer. 他给我的杯子斟满了啤酒。还有一个短语be full of 也表示同样的意思，My glass is full of beer. 我的杯里装满了酒。（注意：fill…with和be full of虽然意思相同，可是用法不一样，fill是动词，可以直接接主语，full是形容词，前面必须要有be才能接主语。）
　　10、这个主意正中Harry下怀，他大叫Great idea，比good idea情绪高昂得多。忽然想起那天一位男同事问我：How about going to a movie tonight? 好久没人约我了，我大声回答：Great idea! 他大笑，原来那天是4月1号（Fool's Day）。

　　如果你不喜欢别人做某事，就可以用quit + V+ing句型告诉他
　　Quit crying, will you? You know losing money is not a big deal.
　　别哭了，行吗？丢钱而已嘛，没什么了不起。
　　Quit yelling at me, I can't stand it.
　　别唠叨了，我受不了了。
　　「语法小教室」
　　It looks like （that） the whole world has come here.
　　看起来全世界都到这儿来了。
　　It 作形式主语代替主语从句（that the whole world has come here），主要是为了平衡句子结构，避免头重脚轻。
　　它的形式是这样的：it＋不及物动词＋从句
　　It happens （seems, appears, looks ） that …来看两个例子：
　　It seems （that） he will be back in a few days.
　　看来他会在几天内回来。
　　It happened （that） he met his teacher in the street.
　　他碰巧在街上遇到了他的老师。
